Whether it's your first date, 10 year anniversary, new to town. or just looking for something to do with a friend, CFC is a way to stay active and have fun with people who are fitness minded just like you. Here is everything you need to know about CFC:

Who: We welcome any two persons who want to register as a couple and compete together. Although CFC events promote the local community of the hosting city, we invite all couples from southern California to compete at each event and see the wonderful atmosphere other beach venues have to offer. It is also recommended to compete with the same partner in every CFC event in order to stay eligible for end-of-year awards and prizes for most improved couple and highest cumulative scoring couple.

What: A detailed schedule of CFC fitness events is provided below. After each day of events, results are posted on the website for couples to see how they did in comparison. The couples, as well as the public, will also have the opportunity to see local businesses and organizations that are involved in fitness and/or the local community. These sponsors and local affiliates provide prizes, awards, and raffles to winning couples.

When: CFC events will occur once a month and adequate time will be given for competition preparation. Events usually run 3-4 hours and have a sponsored gathering after the event to promote community networking. A tentative schedule of CFC events can be found here.

Where: Various beach areas in southern California. Sometimes alternative locations will be used if beaches are unavailable. A tentative schedule of CFC events can be found here.

Couples Fitness Competitions

Details of upcoming CFC events

The fitness competition will be in a “total points” style. Couples will complete each fitness challenge and receive scores based upon performances in given events. CFC events will consist of 6 different fitness events that test various aspects of fitness. Winners of each event will receive a prize from one of our sponsors.

2010 CFC EVENT; August 28th, 2010; Santa Monica, CA

Anaerobic Base: Sprinting Suicides.
Power Endurance: KB Snatch (click here for example); Max reps in 5 minutes; Women: 12kg, Men: 16kg
Strength: Max Pull Ups (2 pts) or Inverted Rows (1 pt) in 60 seconds.
Metabolics: 25 Jump Squats, 25 Push Ups, 25 Burpees. Timed.
Partner Strength: Partner Wheel Barrel Race.
Obstacle Course: Hope you cross the finish line!
